C. Robert Gerrard, P.E., Principal
Mr. Gerrard earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures from The University of Wyoming in 2002. In 2003, he started working as a Staff Engineer for an engineering firm. As a Staff Engineer, he was involved in a wide range of projects, including land design, drainage and water resources, infrastructure, and structural inspections. Mr. Gerrard obtained his Professional Engineering license in 2007 from the State of Wyoming and gained status as a National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Model Law Engineer in 2009. Soon after becoming registered, he took over as the engineering firms Project Manager for their Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Subsidence Mitigation Projects. Mr. Gerrard has now overseen the completion of over ten large mitigation projects with total project value of over $30 million. He has also completed other large projects, such as several residential subdivisions, the City of Rock Springs’ Summit Channel Flood Control Project, and other structural projects. He had also been tasked with overseeing the engineering firms Information Technology (IT) systems. His understanding of IT systems allows him to keep Western ahead of the curve when it comes to computers and design software. Mr. Gerrard was a stockholder and Associate Principal at another engineering firm from 2012 until he left the company in 2014 to help form Western-EGI.
