Forensic engineering is the practice of using engineering knowledge and methods to determine why something has failed. Western specializes in geotechnical and infrastructure failures.
We have conducted investigations for homeowners, industrial facilities, insurance companies, and public entities. Projects have included water intrusion/flooding, waterline failures, soil settlement, embankment failures, and other geotechnical failures such as frost heave and expansive materials.
Reports for forensic cases
Evidence transportation and storage
Depositions and testimony
We can also produce recommendations and design services for remediation for these cases.
Two of our professional engineers are affiliate members of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers.
